Br!cks is a building game. This page explains what we collect when you visit bricksthegame.com or play the demo, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you sign in to save your world in the demo. We send you a one-time code to sign in; there is no password.
- Your saved world: the one world the demo keeps for you, so you can pick up where you left off.
- Basic technical logs that every website keeps (IP address, browser, the pages asked for, errors), used only to keep the site running and secure, and kept for a short time.
- Your browser's own storage: the demo keeps a copy of your world and your sign-in on your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings.
We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and we don't sell or share your data for marketing.
Why
To let you sign in and keep your world (that's the service you asked for), and to keep the site working and safe (our legitimate interest). If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Who helps us run it
These services process data for us, only to provide the site:
- Launchbase hosts the site and the demo.
- Supabase stores sign-ins and saved worlds.
- Resend sends the sign-in emails.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr serve the lettering and a code library, so they see your IP address when the page loads.
Some of them may store data outside the UK or the EU, under the usual legal safeguards.
Links to Steam and Discord take you to their own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
How long
Your email and saved world stay until you ask us to delete them, or until the demo ends. Logs are kept for a short time only.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email contact@bricksthegame.com from the address you signed in with and we'll act on it within a month. If you're in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
Children
Anyone can play the demo without signing in. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before you sign in with an email address.
Changes
If this page changes, we'll update the date above. For big changes, we'll say so on the site.
